The world of Asmiara is ruled for the most part by magical beings known as witches. However, some didn’t have powers and these were humans. Some say they were witches who couldn’t do magic. No one really knows for sure but for the most part they serve the race known as witches. In exchange for protection, money, food, shelter or other such things they became a sort of slave or peasant class. There were those that didn’t want to serve and they wandered off to make their own kingdoms.
One of these kingdoms was known as Adrealia. It decided to isolate itself making it illegal to do any form of magic. Those with special gifts were killed or fled from the world. They closed their borders and kept to themselves. This continued for many centuries until it was determined that those with gifts could help to protect their borders giving themselves in service of the whole. This was how the elites were formed. However, there were those that wanted to make better weapons. They wanted to embrace new ways of thinking and experiment on them. Combining powers and such and messing with genetics to make them more.
Most people didn’t agree with this and it caused a split some leaving to form the country of Erendalle. They built labs all over the world and embraced new technology. They set out to make better soldiers. They viewed them as nothing more than tools to achieve a goal and that goal was to rule the world. They were created to be perfect.
In time the creations came to believe that they were better and over threw the non-powered and enslaved them. However, they continued to experiment on themselves to make a stronger race one that would someday rule the world believing they were superior.
